Fuel injector maintenance / Fuel system maintenance

Fuel injectors rarely go bad, they just need to maintained. filters rot and disintegrate inside the injector. O-rings become hard and stop sealing giving vacuum leaks. Fuel injectors should be maintained every 5-10 years. Fuel filters also should be replaced with every fuel injector rebuild. maintenance

  • To use or not use? depends what you need. on one hand it will dissolve the gunk inside the system. On the other hand it destroy orings and seals. my conclusion it can be beneficial to use a few bottles before servicing the fuel system. just change the orings and filters afterwards as whatever did not dissolve before will probably be stuck there clogging in the future. -Bryan

  • Does octane ratings matter? do different brands of gasoline make a difference? while i cant exactly prove how it does, I can tell you with certainty that Porsche's are better taken care of than Hyundai's. i see this all day long cheaper cars come with so much gunk i have to run them through the ultrasonic machine a few times, where higher end brands, the fuel injectors basically come clean most of the time. Just a regular blessing and they are good to go again. comment below what think. -Bryan
